Aduchil smiled. He had been convinced of Elenna's stubornness and was sure that she would retake Rivendell. His heart felt sick at the thought of Elrond. He had failed his fosterfather, and he made a silent oath not to do that again. He spoke again to Elenna.
"If you wish, mila... Elenna, I can make contact with the Rangers. I have often travelled with them, and may convince some of them to join us. I am sure they will make a worthy contribution to your army."
