This may be of some help in planning for your first post of the game. Pio and I were just talking and decided that one of the first things that will happen in the game is that you will receive invitations to the dinner party at the Green Dragon which will include the news about the return of Frodo and Bilbo and also Cami to the Shire.

One possible way to start this game is to comment on this invitation. Do you believe the news about the hobbit's return from Aman, and how do you feel about it? You don't have to do this.

If you have another idea on your first post, go for it. But this is one way to start off and even have your post ready ahead of time.

Most of the invitations will be sent out by the Shire messenger service. However, since Sam will probably be the one most affected by the news of Frodo coming back, Pio will be hand-delivering that one to the Gamgee family herself.

Arwen -- As we discussed, there is a possible angle to this that might work for your first post. Your character Elanor had a wish to meet Frodo Baggins. This is stated in the Epilogue, when Elanor mentions to her dad that she is glad Frodo saw her as a baby but she wishes she could meet him again and have a real memory of him.
