Maeralagos listened with rapt attention as Telpeheled began his tale, but they were soon interrupted by Durelin, turning to speak to them. He'd have to wait to hear the end of Telpeheled's story.
Maeralagos was about to mount a response to Durelin's commanding statement, when he heard Erdaminéon's voice, as he came up behind him, speaking as he felt as well. Though he'd been a bit unsure about how this would work from setting out, there had never been a doubt in his mind that he would do it, or give his life in helping. Who cared for the army? If it wasn't destroyed, as well as its brethren, there would only be more and more, until they covered every field and mountain in Middle-Earth. He stepped forward, next to Erdaminéon as the other Elf completed his statement.
"Indeed," Maeralagos said softly, "I do not question or fear what we must do."
