Dark Shadow has just left Hobbiton.
Sting

They had been walking awhile when the army was spotted, and now continued, stealthily. As they passed the army, the group tensed. They remained unnoticed, and continued on their way, coming closer and closer to the cave where they were to meet their final battle. Bordarigorn seemed nervous, he seemed to think that the group would desert him, or disobey his orders. Obviously, even if the group had wanted to, the ferocity of Durelin was something to be reckoned with. In fact, as Durelin turned and snarled at the group, some of the elves recoiled, and backed away. Erdaminéon stepped forward, facing Durelin.

“My friend. Durelin,” began Erdaminéon, coolly, “do you really think so poorly of us? Are we of lesser worth than you? Maybe we didn’t know Anuion as you did, maybe we did. Perhaps we don’t know Bordarigorn as you do, and then again, some may do. But we all came to help you rescue Anuion, and swore to continue with you. Why is it that you treat us as though we are fugitives, as though we will back down from any danger that may threaten?” He watched Durelin carefully, eyes glinting, waiting for the elf to explain his harsh words to the other five. He did not dislike Durelin, indeed he thought him to be one of the wisest of the party, but that did not give him power above the others. “My friend,” he added, “We are no less experienced than you. Please see that.” Then, he stepped back, and stood in silence, looking towards where the army headed.
