Findorak stormed away from the orc leader Skaibad and into another one of the inner caves, which was less full of stinking orcs. He kicked the loose rock as he paced. This was not going at all to plan. He had been put in charge of the cave. The general and his staff were all going to war and he was now lord, not that idiot Skaibad. The prisoner was his charge and no filthy orc would get its hands on the elf, he was too valuable.
He knelt down beside his pack and pulled out a tough strip of salted meat from his private supply. The hierarchy made sure to look after their troops, unlike those scavenger orcs.
"Jerika!" he called and the Easterling came over.
"Um..she was good looking!" he thought to himself.
"Now Jerika," he began, putting his arm on her shoulder and turning her away from the small group of orcs, who lounged against the wall.
"I need you to guard the prisoner. Those orcs might try and get to him but we must not let them, understood? We must maintain the power here!"
The beautiful easterling nodded and Fin continued, "get Perlos to help you. He will let no orc get passed him. We have a good group here Jerika. You are a great soldier, now prove it!"
"I will Findorak."
As she moved away, he breathed a sigh, he had made the first move. He finished the meat and left the inner cave, moving into the outer one. Skaibad was still there and Findorak ignored the orc chieftain completely. He exited the cave and felt the breeze on his face. Below on the plain the mass of orcs and easterlings lay, making ready for the march that would continue soon. He sat on the rocky outcrop beside the cave entrance and relaxed.
He was in charge!
