Silmaril

A gentle breeze blew through the streets, as the sun began to slowly sink below the horizon of Bywater. Hobbits began to close up their store's doors, while the farmers retreated to the safety of their homes after a long day of work. The only place that did not shut down, yet, was the Green Dragon in Bywater. It's doors were not locked for the time being, and people sat within, talking, telling stories, drinking and eating, having a great time in the merry inn.

Suddenly the door of the Green Dragon opened with a fairly loud bang. A few heads turned as small, cloaked figure entered the room, followed by two dogs, over half as big as the person. The figure crossed over with the dogs, who really looked more like wolves, but not as vicious, to the bar counter. It nodded to the bar maiden, and as she did so her hood fell back to reveal a female hobbit's face. Her eyes were a deep, dark blue, full of light, and she had a fair complexion. Asking for a drink, she sat down on a stool, and called her two dogs to her. "Stock, Barlow, here boys," she commanded gently in her soft voice. The two dogs instantly came up to her chair, licked her hand, and sat down patiently at her feet.

After recieving her drink, the hobbit maiden remained sipping it in her chair, her eyes wandering slowly across the entire room, though her face never moved. She greeted no one, nor tried to introduce herself at all, for it was enough for Autumn Gamwich, hobbit of Bywater, to just sit and watch in the warm and comforting Green Dragon.
