The lady in white gazed down upon the small boy concentrating very hard on his apples. It was easy to see he had had a hard life, and who knew what had happened to his family. Laurie gave a little sigh, and took a drink from her own cup. There was so much pain, so much sorrow...
After a moment's silence, Laurie refilled Nárello's cup. As she poured the drink, her sleeve slipped down and revealed a delicate bracelet of intertwining silver and green. The next moment, it was hidden as she set the cup down.
"I do not know the plans of your friend over there, but I may be able to arrange it with the innkeeper for you to sleep in a proper bed for the night. You and him both look as though you would benefit from a proper rest," she added, her blue eyes twinkling.
