Hwestlaeriel dove at the creature while the other two girls fought it. She hacked at it with the sword she carried. However, training without any true battle experience made her unable to truly fight as of yet. She found herself thrown against the stone wall. Hwestlaeriel charged back at the troll again, but this time got thrown back again. She hit her head on the stone wall and fell unconscious.
**********
Berethion, unconscious as well, lay on the ground, dreaming fitfully. He had dreams of Tallin and Hwestlaeriel, both. He also saw his parents again. Then, he thought he saw a hallway before him.
"You must wait here," he heard the voice command him, "You cannot pass through these Halls. No pure Elf can. You must wait here until the end of time...unless you are among the lucky...or unlucky...that return to Earth. Only Mandos and the All-Knowing will know that."
This was, of course, a dream. Berethion was not truly in the Halls of Mandos yet, but he could feel death approaching swiftly. He continued his fitful dreams, trapped in an unconscious state, unable to awake at that moment. His mind struggled to find its way back to its body, getting ever-closer to waking one last time before his soul would leave to forever dwell with his Elven kindred, awaiting the end of the world in the Halls of Mandos, unable to pass through to be where men dwelt...
