"Whos your girl? She looks pretty messed up."
Tallin gave a short laugh before she could stop herself, then tried to cover it up with a cough, covering her smile with her hand. Raye didnt find it funny though, and Berethion had obviously done something to really annoy her, heightened, no doubt, by the rest of the groups prescence. She shot Tallin a murderous look before turning it on the new elf. Tallin noticed the dagger in her hand and stepped hastily between the pair, in an attempt at peacemaking, while trying to restrain both her mirth and her anger at Dimithil.
"Messed up, you say? Well, I see you havent been doing at all badly for yourself, Master Dimithil." She looked pointedly at the clothes he was wearing, smart to say the least. Dimithil didnt, however, have the grace to look embarrassed.
"Indeed, but then, I havent just been sitting around in a cell have I? Nor did I attack the guards when I first came here." He smiled infuriatingly and Tallin put her hand on Rayes arm. She could practically hear her grinding her teeth with barely restrained anger. "No, you gave in without a fight then did you Dimithil?" Tallin replied evenly. As her brothers eyes flashed angrily, Belle now stepped in.
"Now, calm down everyone; Dimithils here to help us."
"Aye, well maybe its the kind of help we can do without then." Raye snarled. Tallin didnt disagree.
"Listen, are we going to go or not?" Dimithil was now impatient. "And am I ever going to be introduced?" Tallin didnt return his smile, but answered all the same.
"I am Tallin Wolfsoul. This is Yenhofir, Hwestalarion, Berethion, Arrelle and...Raye." Tallin paused, ever so slightly, before saying Raye, not Corrowyn.
"Fine. Lets go-" Berethion seemed to have no interest really and started to turn before he stopped, his hand up, motioning for them to be quiet. There was no need; they could all hear the sound of running footsteps and angry voices- the voices of the guards. Tallin cursed under her breath; they could have been already gone if it wasnt for the arrogance of Belles brother. She looked back down the corridor and could see torchlight on the walls, faintly; they were quite close. She looked back and saw Belle and Dimithil running down one corridor, fast, hand in hand. She smiled briefly; they were back together then. Then her smile vanished; Raye had started off down the third, remaining corridor. Berethion was also staring after her.
"Come on, are you going to wait for them to find you after all this trouble?" Raye snapped, and Tallin could sense the fear in her voice and thought of the bruises evident on Rayes skin. Berethion gave Tallin a long suffering look and sighed, before running after her. Tallin paused, torn, but she knew that, even if she had come with Belle, to find Dimithil, she would not follow two who had so selfishly run, alone. Nodding at Arrelle, Yenhofir and Hwesta, she inclined her head.
"Come, let us follow."
"Follow who?!" Yenhofir asked.
Tallin smiled. "Whoever you wish." With that she turned and sprinted away after Berethion and Raye, with Hwesta beside her. After only a very small moment, the others followed them. Tallin smiled to herself once again, but it seemed that they had now inadvertently made Raye even angrier.
"How do we get out?" Tallin asked Berethion, catching him up easily although he ran fast.
"Generally, if you run for long enough, youre bound to find some ends." He answered, smiling slightly. She punched him lightly on the arm. "Oh, great plan!" She replied, exasperated and recieved a grin before they sped up even further; the guards were close.
