Tallin knew it was a mistake to aggravate Raye, but the murderess wasnt all that friendly herself and Tallin wasnt all that keen on anyone that tried to take a chunk out of her wolves. Besides, Hwesta's loftiness was getting to her.
"Hwesta, there are others in this group who advise me to let you stay. But do you want to stay, stay in this forest until you are marriagable, then stay as a wife forever?" She was trying to keep the impatience out of her voice.
"I do not think that, as a lady-"
"Is that what you want?" Tallin cut through, stepping closer to the other elf.
"Please Tal, if she says anything about being a lady again, please, please hit her!" Jet grumbled from her feet.
Hwesta, oblivious to this, stood, her head bowed for a moment before looking straight at Tallin. "No. No, its not." She said, her voice firm. The wolf tamer smiled. "Good."
"But my parents-"
"Will certainly not let you go if they know Hwesta." Berethion now interrupted. His sisters eyes widened but he held up a hand. "Dont worry. I have been away from Fileglinniel and Halmaethorion for long, sister." He smiled taking her hand. "We can do a swap maybe?"
