ElentariGreenleaf has just left Hobbiton.
Sting

As ELentari watched Khôrbar climb the stairs she thought maybe she was wrong about him. He did seem courageous and willing to go first into danger. Airerûthiel had been avoiding Elentari, which did not surprise the elf-witch. The way she had acted was childish. Elentari cringed inside as she realised how close she was to killing Khôrbar.

The long, steep stairs barely affected Khôrbar's speed. It took Elentari a while to catch up with the swift ranger. Khôrbar seemed not to have noticed Elentari's approach.

"Um," started Elentari slowly. "I'm sorry, Khôrbar. I... I..." Elentari nearly started to cry as she remembered her voice and the great amounts of energy that had been flowing through her.

"I know that you were not in total control of your actions," said Khôrbar, barely turning his head. "But you need to learn how to control your powers. Others may have got hurt." Khôrbar stopped and faced Elentari. "But you are of good nature, and have a good heart. That will help you learn what you must to control your strength."

Elentari was left standing alone as Khôrbar raced up the stairs in true ranger style. He was right. She needed to learn to control them. But how was she to practice with no target, nothing to annoy her. Elentari continued up the stairs, hoping to one day learn control and to one day become Khôrbar's friend. It would take a lot of fixing, but maybe this would teach her to be patient.
