Anarya knelt beside Mornovarion after Tinuiel had burst into tears and set her hand on his shoulder.
"My Lord," She said addressing King Thranduil, "I can expalin Mornovarion's strange conduct. It seems that the elf has told me that he comes to us from the halls of the Dark Lord himself, the Great Eye, as he is known. Mornovarion and his family were taken captive from the edges of Mirkwood and have been tortured in the very depths of Barad-Dur itself. He was set free only because he agreed to do a deed. A terrible deed. To kill you, the task was upon him laid, and if he did it would free his family. He told me this while he was at the Healers, and he told me as well he wished not to do this thing. I believe that Mornovarion was bewitched for the moment back there, for for a moment he was not himself. So I beg of you, do not increase his pain that has already been more than one should bear."
All stood silent at the Elf's tale, and the miad's plea. Even Tinuiel's sobs were quieted, as Thranduil sat in thought...
