Somehow Rose and Child managed to miss seeing Stacy and went into the room she was just in they were debating about the letter to Sam.

"I don't like the sound of it." Rose said. "I think that once your dead you should beable to go where you please. And yes, my great grandmother was an elf (I made that up)." They started to look around the room when Child stopped and cried,

"Listen, someone's coming." they hid behind some boxes. Someone outside the door shouted,

"Hobbits! Show yourselves." Rose went rigid with fear. It was the elf caption. She decided there and then that even though she didn't know why, she was terrified of the bearded elf.
