Ket smiled - if a copper kettle could smile. (But Ket always found that ignoring these anomalies was better that thinking about them too hard, because if you brought too much attention to them, the universe would catch on that something was wrong, and all of a sudden, you wouldn't be able to smile. Or think. Which really simplified matters, but made life much more boring.)

All the while, Ket kept a keen lookout for the fish. It was uneasy eversince Birdland's comment and was hoping the fish had enough money to bribe themselves out of trouble. Unless they stuck together, of course. Then the green fish could do its kung fu and flip them all out of trouble...
