Yes leghlei he was replying to you. Don't worry about not understanding, it's no big deal. The Noldor were one of the original lines of the elves that were scattered for the most part by morgoth. So yes you can play an elf.

However, at this point I feel I must make an argument (for lack of a better term) that has been runing around my head. Why all the elves? Firt of all, It seems to me that elves in this story would be a bit out of place. This is a story about Rohan, not exactly elf territory. This is a story about Men struggling against isengard. I'm even beegining to reget the introduction of a Dwarf.

Second of all it causes conflicts in the books. the elves remained hidden. When they were outside of their realms they made a marked effort not to be noticed, so I seriously doubt they would reveal themselves lightly. Also, as Gil as stated before, they would spill the beans about Saruman. If any mirkwood/lorien elves survive the story then that causes a problem. So, as I see it at least, all of the elves including Elwood and maybe even dwarin would have to bite the dust before the end (though I think dwarves would give it away less).

Lastly, why pick elves? There are penty of other races in middle earth to be. Dwarves, Men, Hobbits, Ents even! May I remind you that the elves were not a superior race, they had their advantages and disadvantages. The dwarves were Spesifically made by Aule to withstand the evils of morgoth. Yavanna made the Ents, and I think you know what they did to the orcs at helms deep. What of hobbits? A hobbit accomplished what is (arguably) the greatest deed ever, the destruction of The One Ring, nuff said. Men are by far not the least on the list. Most of the great deeds of ages were done by men, the slaying of glaurung, the tale of Beren and Luthien, Isuldur cutting the ring from sauron's finger. Do not downplay the part the race of men played in the history of middle earth. Elves are not perfect either. Feanors rebellious spirit almost estroyed the noldor. Thingol's greed led to the downfall of beleriand. What about the war of unnumbered tears that was certantly a mistake.

I hope I have made my argument, clearly, consicely and non-offensive. Leighlei, your presence is most welcome and! Stay long and post often and I hope I have convinced you to come over to the non-elf camp. If you want there are currently plenty of npc's that are ripe for the picking. That goes for everyone.
