Saucepan beamed at Alaklondewen and Menelien.

"Ah, you're Alaklonewen" he exclaimed. "Always happy to meet a fellow Quizaholic."

Smiling at Menelien, he said "Yes, Menelien. We met last night, just before you ... er ... fell asleep. I trust that you are well rested now."

He cheerfully greeted Earwen, with whom he had shared a most enjoyable, if somewhat noisy, dance earlier in the party, and then turned to Sophia, his other erstwhile dance partner, saying "Hmm, perhaps Sergeant Saucepan will make another appearance before the party is done." Then, with a mischeivous twinkle in his eye, he added "Perhaps Trippo will do a version of the Hippo Hippo Shake for us later."

Beckoning a waiter over, he asked "Now, what is everyone drinking?"
