Fin smiled as she kissed his hand.
"I will buy you new ones if you like," he said and, taking the flower, returned it to her hair. Although they were slightly broken, she still looked cute, if less pristine than before.
"Thank you," she replied, wrapping her arms around his neck, "my hero." She kissed him gently on the lips before relaxing on his legs and closing her eyes.
"This party has been great so far," she murmured.
"Yeh, it has," he agreed.
He looked around the table. Alatariel was still sleeping. Chicken was also asleep, his head on Thoriel's lap. She sat there dozing, making sure she didnt crush him.
"I'm glad you came," he said, "it wouldn't have been the same without you." She beamed with happiness.
"For one thing," he continued, "we wouldn't have found Chicken!"
She slapped him playfully, "is that all I'm worth?"
"Sophia, you are worth more than the stars in the sky," Fin said, smiling.
"Drunk, and still the flirt," she said.
"Ever the flirt," he replied and ran his hand through her hair gently.
