Don’t mention Will – no one knows he is following them – trying to see what they are doing and keep them safe if he can. Do notice that Lily
and Willofain, too(she lagged behind to go to the creek to get water for the coneys) are not with you all. The smoke should be thick, hard to see – the children will have to move themselves and the conies into a far chamber of the cave and lay down on the floor to breath.

Yes, have him get up very early – dawn, (the fire is just starting about then and the children are just running for the cave). He can actually seek out Miz Andreth – maybe hoping Fippi for some reason is sleeping over with Edmund.
This will give Cami a chance to have Andreth peek into Edmund’s room and discover him gone.
Right after all this is when Willofain should be alerting the Mayor and Will comes running back to alert the town also.
