Ebon is a nice tool. Many Tolkienian languages, and good names.
However, I do not understand why our name generators should be a hoax and Ebon the grand revelation?
Ebon spits out the names completely at random. Our name generators correspond to the user's name and thus make sure that only one in a zillion gets the same name as you; and that your name is always the same no matter how often you try. This isn't the case with Ebon's engine, which also has a fairly limited store of names and roots.
Our name generators are online and free for everybody to use. Ebon is shareware which you have to download first.
Ebon is nice when you quickly need a name for an rpg character or else. But if you want to find your true Hobbit/Dwarf/Orc/Elf name <img src=wink.gif ALT="
"> ours are way more fun. Of course they don't work on divine translation, but on some fuzzy math. But a hoax? Hardly so. They're for fun!
