I think we should reinstate stonings as punishment. However, we can replace the stones with hard-back copies of the Silmarillion and raw potatoes.

No, truly, there are only two types of people in this world: people who are Tolkien fans, and those who aren't Tolkien fans... yet. There's still hope. Have pity on the poor sods. They know not what they do. Or what they are missing.
