Re: What happened to the hobbits?

First of all - dont be sorry for asking questions...
Secondly, follow mhorams advise...

If you cant bother...

What happened to him? -> He went over the Sea, to the undying lands, to find healing and rest from the hurts he had come by in Middle-earth

And what about Sam and the others? What happens to them? -> Sam, also went over the Sea in his own time, He was voted Mayor of the Shire some six or seven times. Merry and Pippin lived long and happy lives, and had great honor. When they got old and tired the took a last journey south and took leave with their respective lords, The King of Rohan and Gondor. They were laid to rest in Rath Dinen.

Is there a sequal to LotR or anything else explaining this? -> As Mhoram said. I will only add 'Unfinished Tales' by JRR Tolkien. Toilkien also started a sequal called The New Shadow, but it never got far, and was never finished.

And what of this land over the sea? What's Frodo doing over there? Erėssa, Aman, Valinor - The land of the Lords of the arda - The Valar. If you want to learn more about them you need to read The Silmarillion.

Welcome to the Downs
