Raefindel you were right on the mark! After driving my “mile” it turned into 2! What a pleasant surprise I can walk 2 miles in ˝ hr. I feel a lot more comfortable with that.
Wow, BW now that site is a motivator! Many thanks. Here I thought I had just walked down the hill to Hobbiton and really I’m already at Bywater. This is great fun!
Friday, felt a bit like Midgewater marsh. Was glad I had a road to walk on. Yesterday was colder and rainy in the morning. I was looking out the window trying to decide how realistic I wanted to be when it stopped. Yippie! Little Puff the Orc and I struck out and did 6 miles, stopping half way for some coffee and raisin toast and celebrating with chips & popcorn when we returned. OK, I got to work on that part!
Today it has been snow flurries, and I’ve had to put off walking; hopefully I’ll get 2 miles in this evening.
Mark, thanks for the info. on the pedometer. I will have to make a run to get one, so many places “off road” to see and I feel constrained to what I can measure. Thinking about you up in cold NE. Have a cup of chia for me!
So far not identifying with any hobbit but Hilde Bracegirdle, but she’s having a blast!
