Aragorn will only ever get cut on the arm.
If an Elf is wounded, it will look pretty, such as Arwen's little scratch. Note that you do not see blood on Haldir.
Short people are funny, especially if they're ugly too. Sorry. I'm just joking about that one. Gimli is basically there for comic relief though.
