I'm referring to a particularly rude character who started leaving "the Downs sucks! Come to My site!" messages

If you mean that refugee from the Plaza, some of us went there to track him down. Lo and behold, they had just deleted some of his posts and were considering banning him altogether for spamming and trolling. I expect that the idea in posting here was to provoke some Downers into making anti-social posts on the other board to punish them for erasing his dross. Even a rating of one was more attention than he deserved.
