Voyeurism on the Downs?!
I must admit to being a frequent stalker; sometimes it’s for my own enjoyment, then I click on the ‘Users Online’ to see where interesting members and personal friends are reading or posting. Sometimes I do click on the ‘View Recent Posts’ of the personal profile of those who write the most interesting posts or haven’t been around much lately to see what I might have missed. And yes, that does take me to some fora (*cough* Mayhem *cough*) that I don’t routinely visit, sometimes discovering gems in the chaos…
The other reason for stalking is not so enjoyable and belongs to moderating responsibilities; when I read an annoying post by someone (often but not always a newcomer) I do go to their profile and ‘view recent posts’ to follow their tracks and see if there is some closing or deleting (or even more drastic measure) that needs to be done. I strongly suspect that this activity explains all the interest in stalking me – I’m being stalked while stalking!!
PS - How come no one follows my tracks to the 'minor works' quotes thread?? I'd be delighted to have more people coming there!!
