[img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] It's Gandalf to Théoden, at the ruined gate of Orthanc, warning him about getting Merry (& Pippin) started on talking about pipeweed and family history. Gandalf cuts the monologue short so he can ask where Treebeard is. (It's at the end of The Two Towers, Book Three, VIII The Road to Isengard.)
