I think part of what makes it easier is Aragorn's Numenorean bloodline. And his tragic family history. It makes him feel aged and just as part of the past as Arwen. |

I think Tolkien and women are somewhat difficult. But he makes up for it with Eowyn and Galadriel. Galadriel is strong and obviously beautiful and in control in her relationship. With Eowyn, yes... |
