I think Gandalf knew about the situation far too...
I think Gandalf knew about the situation far too well. He wouldn't be fooled by the Ring so easily. The Ring might go after him, but that dose not mean that it would succeed. |

I think that pretty much all the of the Fellowship are as easily corrupted by the ring as the next person, with the exception of a few. The Hobbits would be the first to succome to the temptation... |
