Narsil

okay, does anybody have any clear idea of where narsil came from and who wrought it? i know it came from over the sea from Numenor with elendil, but where did he get it from? the elves, of whichhe is still friends with?

did Feanor make it? i'm curious if anyone knows, because i don't.

Narsil was wrought by Telchar of Nogrod, a renouned Dwarf smith of the First Age.

There is some stuff in the Sil about Telchar and some of the other stuff that he made, but Narsil isn't there. The bit about Narsil being made by Telchar was at the doors of Meduseld, Aragorn to Hama.

Telchar, was one of the great Nogrodian smiths. He also made Angrist, the knife that cut the Silmaril form Morgoth's crown.

The quote is in the Two Towers-in which Aragrons states that the sword was made my Telchar.

" Telchar first wrought it in the deeps of time." Aragorn to guard.
