War of the Rings game
 

Well I didn't know where to post this since there isn't a LOTR games forum so here it goes. Have any of you heard of this new game coming out in November called "The War of the Rings?" I guess its a strategic game similar to WarCraft III for those of you who have played that. Everyone has been making LOTR maps for WCIII so I've been waiting for someone to put out a game about it so we dont' have to go through all that effort. Sounds cool.

I read about it, and supposedly, it's supposed to be better than WCIII. They got the rights from Tolkien Enterprises (I think), so it will be based on the book. And in that case, it would be better if this thread was in Novices, but it really doesn't matter I think.<P>It looks great because it will have many different campaigns. You can do one to destroy the ring, and then there are other ones, like when Sauron pushed his forces north and fought against the dwarves.<P>It will be playable online, and the game is for the PC. The producers try to give the player as much freedom as possible while staying true to the books. It comes out on Nov. 11.

Ive heard of it. they had 250 battles to choose from. I heard it was coming out this spring.

The game arrives November 4, 2003.
