What day did The Fellowship of the Ring come out on video?

I wasn`t an LotR fan until after I saw FotR, in about the October after it came out. Since FotR was in theaters on Dec. 19, 2001, The Two Towers Dec. 18, 2002, and RotK Dec. 17, 2003, I figured they all would come out on video and DVD about the same time. I know The Two Towers came out on Aug. 26, 2003, and decided FotR probably came out on Aug. 27, 2002, which would lead to RotK coming out on Aug. 25, 2004.
If you`re wondering why I`m asking this, it`s because I was marking my calendar a few days ago, and wanted to put RotK on it.
Can anyone tell me what day FotR came out on video and DVD? Thag you very buch!

I have the promotional movie pins to prove it: August 26th. I think the EE was November 26th, but I'm not sure.

The same day TTT did? Are you sure?

Knight of Gondor 02-09-2004 09:32 PM

Um...yeah, I am pretty sure! I'll have to re-check...

The Perky Ent 02-19-2004 10:29 PM

It came out on the day, in which it came out, which is the following, which ergo, visa-vie, concordedly happens to be...um...2001? I honestly don't know!

Sorry! I thought I'd responded to this sooner, but now I recall that the forum wasn't working that night. I checked my pins, the actual date is August 10th. But we're hoping for an earlier release for RotK, aren't we, precious?

Here i distinctly remember:

FOTR theatrical: Augsut 6th

FOTR EV: hmmm, November 14th? i'm more cloudy about that one, but the 6th was absolutely totally most definitely the theatrical. I went to my friend's house nd was in Tolkien heaven for about 7 hours watching all the 2 discs.
