Villian

To you, which of the characters in Tolkien's work was the true villain? Although "villain" can be thought of in several ways
For myself...two brothers-that-shall-not-be-named who detained Luthien are at the top of that list: they are simply wicked and utterly despicable. How could anyone do that????

As the risk of sounding predictable, I'd have to go with Morgoth.

I have to agree.

I posted a new topic that has some revelance(I think), "was Sauron Evil from the very beggining?". If not, then had not Morgoth existed or been evil, Sauron could have been the Elves best friend.

So it all comes down to Melkor, he was the root of all evil and the ultimate corruptor.
