Why did Turin son of Hurin not recognise Niniel, as Nienor daughter of Hurin of Dor-Lomin, was it due to his being bemused by Glaurung.?

She was born after Turin was sent to Doriath, he nad never seen her. Also she was stricken dumb by Glaurung, so she didn't remember who she was. Hurin's line had also been cursed by Morgoth because he refused to reveal the location of Gondolin after his capture at Nirnaeth Arnoediad.
