Trouble with translating from English

Could I just take some advantage from being with this wonderful board?
I ‘d appreciate some help with my English (translating from English). I got into an argument about how Mnt. DOOM should be translated. Well, the dictionary offers several variants for the word (back translation gives FATE, PREDETERMINATION, CURSE&#8230
But the choice seems to be supported by people’s opinions only (and English isn’t our mother-tongue)
Could you by way of helping give your associations or synonyms to the word in THIS context. And I’d much appreciate if you are serious.

I know it’s misplaced, unappropriet and plain stupid, but please HELP!!
