Practical Jokes
 

Hey! Me again...bwa ha ha ha ha! Anyways, have any of you played practical jokes on your fellow LOTR loving friends who havent read any of the books? For example:
Me and my friend Ellen told my other Legolas-infatuated friend that Legolas dies in RotK...mwa ha ha ha. He doesn't of course, but she won't know until next year. BWHAHAHAHA! we are so evil [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img] but have any of you done that or something like it?

You associate with people that haven't read the whole of LOTR??? [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img] Never mind, so do I. My best friend has yet to finish it. (I think - she's been on holiday in England recently and is coming back on the 7th or 8th of February. So she might have finished the book by now.) But I've never done anything like those jokes 'cos the thought of some of those rumours (about the movie) being true...just doesn't bear thinking about. And I can't fool around with the book - it's just not in my nature.

Oh, i forgot to say! My friend, the one we played the joke on, she only likes LotR because of Legolas..grrr it makes me mad...so thats why we did it. oh yeah we told her he was gay too..LOL

Now that's a good one! Hmm...does she have a crush on Orlando, or has she just fallen for Legolas?

I'm not going to actually do this joke, but try telling people that Eowyn ends up falling in love with Grima and marries him. Actually, that's probably too unbelievable for anyone to fall for it.

Well, me and a few of my friends were gonna tell our other friend that Elijah Wood died in a car accadent. She really only likes the movie b/c of him. but its gonna be really funny to see her face... [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img]

When they ask "how does it end"?...I HATE THAT!!!

I simply tell them the truth - they all DIE [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img] (Well, they all do, eventually!)

My mother keeps asking me what happens to Frodo, I told her that he lives (which is the truth, kind of, though he goes to the havens) But I could have been very evil [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img] and told her that he died, and that the entire quest failed. Though that could be kind of unbelievable.

Here is a good one, tell people who have only seen the films and not the book, That Aragorn drops Arwen and marries Eowyn. Because my mother thought that Aragorn and Eowyn were going to get together, so if she believes that, their is probably many other people who believe that too.

I tolled one of my friends that has only finished ttt that Sauron reclaim's the ring and kill's Frodo. The alliagnce then would rize again and Aragorn would cut of Sauron't finger again. He then on the other hand would trow it in the crack's of doom.

I can't wait to see his face. I bet he comes out saying:

"Man I can't believe they changed the PLot that much. Should I tell him?

This is so mean...I'd mess with the leggyboppers. Personally, I love Legolas, he's awesome. His little fanclub is annyoing though. For those of them that haven't read the trilogy (or maybe those who have, for that matter) I'd interrupt one of their "OMG He's so fine" spiels with "oh my...*serious expression on my face* you mean you never read the 4th book, "Ring of the Elf Prince"? No? Aww hon, he dies". Isn't that horrible [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] The idea came to me last night when for some insane reason, I was looking at the half finished and forgotten sites of the leggyboppers. This one girl made a SITE that said "Pippen just got back and told me Legolas went to war and was badly hurt. Please please pray for him I know God will help...bla bla bla". I'm sure God would help, if Legolas was real [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] but he's not!! That was the saddest thing I ever read.

Someone was so infatuated with Legolas they asked God to heal an imaginary being??

Sure, I agree, Legolas is cool, especially in the book, and Orlando plays him quite well, but...asking people to pray for him??? [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img]

Leggyboppers and Lijers who haven't read the books should be punished...someone please do that, I don't know anyone in person who's like that, so I can't do it myself....

i just thought of this crazy evil idea. i have this friend who like LOTR only because i do and she is always saying how hott legolas is and she is always trying to steal my pic of legolas that i have in my book for a bookmark. i am reading ROTK so i decided i am going to tell my friend that legolas dies so enexpectedly. it will prolly make her cry and i dont know if i will be able to keep a straight face while telling her this. is this a little too evil do you think??

'Cos this is the last post I'm going to make for a long while (four weeks - for more details visit Council of Elendili), and I might not be able to find any time to read posts. Tell your friends that Aragorn dumps Arwen and marries Eowyn instead, then tell them that Arwen and Wormtongue fall madly in love and get married. Then tell them that Legolas gets killed by Gimli. Or you could say that Legolas (heh heh) gets trapped in an avalanche and dies.

hmmm....what shall we do to punish those.... whatd ya call them? oh leggyboppers right. i still havent played that joke on my friend cuz i am still not far into RotK. i am going to wait till i get to a war part in the book.(i am STILL on chapter one) but the thing is if i tell this one friend she'll tell this other people and who knows what could happen........but i think ill tell her he dies and then she'll have to find out for herself if its the truth when the movie comes out. I have been told variations of this sooooo many times...Orlando Bloom died in a car crash yesterday...Christopher Lee died in a car crash yesterday(he's my favourite actor) but the stupidest thing I have ever heard was on the first day back at college (one week ago) someone thought they were really funny and said "JRR Tolkien died in a car crash yesterday!" They were a bit put out when I looked at them like they were stupid (well they were!) and said that he had been dead for 30 years [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Hey all,

How about this for a leggybopper assault. Tell him that he was captured in the path of the death and return's baldheaded and with one hand missing. Face mutenated ofcaurse. That will shut them up forever. Just show them a picture of a scene out of "I still know what you did last summer". Just make sshure you delete the hook. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

What I'd like to do is buy the Narsil recreation sword which you can find in certain specialty stores, and then pull it out the next time someone bugs me. I wouldn't take it any farther of course! [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img]

An update on the Orly gay/Leggy gay-dead joke:
My friend believed EVERY WORD!!! So now every time we say something about it she gets all mad...my other friend Elen (her real name is Ellen, she's the one who might make the music video for those of you that replied to that thread) wrote on the leggybopper's folder: In dreams, Anita, in dreams. Heh heh heh SO EVIL!! and its great to...we did it so subtly....bwa ha ha.. [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img]

I thought of another one...for those who don't know how the story ends. Tell them that Legolas was overcome by greed for the ring and turned into an orc. [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img]
