The Fellowship vs. Star Wars
 

I recently downloaded a clip from one of last years Late Night With Conan O' Brian, with guest star Elijah Wood. Elijah said that, on a break, 'the hobbits and an elf' went to the Star Wars set in Sydney.

Then, I thought, who would win in a fight between LOTR characters vs. Star Wars: The Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones characters.

First:

Frodo vs. Young Anikin

I would say Ani, coz Frodo can not fight.
How about count daku (can't spell it, sorry!) vs. Saruman!!!

Well, Saruman and Dooku can both move stuff around with their minds and can also make lightning, so it would have to come down to hand to hand, and it's pretty tough to block a lightsabre.

How about Gandalf vs Lord Sidious? That would be some serious fireworks!

PS Don't match up a Jedi against someone without a strong mind and will, otherwise the Jedi would simply wave their hand and say "You want to stab yourself".

I can just imagine it. Yoda and Sam in a Wrestling ring, with Gandalf giving Sam a pep-talk.

somehow, i just can't see yoda and Sam fighting...though i suppose Yoda would win...

You know, it is unfair if Star Wars characters had lightsabers and LOTR characters only had swords. Just to make it fair, either give SWC swords, or LOTRC lightsabers.

B-b-b...b-b-but R2D2 kicks major behind! I don't want him to lose (probably wouldn't either...all he needs is one good little lazer shot...and you have to remember that: Star Wars has lazer guns. Closest thing to guns in the Fellowship is Istari magic and arrows).

And did you hear about what they did when they visited the Star Wars set? They acted in character the whole time. As in they were going around saying, "What ho, Aragorn!" "Aye, Legolas?" and all that. They said that, at one point, someone from the Star Wars cast came up to them and said, "Erm...ummm...dudes? You take your parts way to seriously." I would have loved to see that...

The witch-king would win in my opinion. I doubt darth Maul's sword would do anything, come to think of it, it wouldn't matter that much if he had a lightsaber or not. Darth Maul would take one look at the witch-king and go crying to his mummy! (whoever that is)

How about.....Charcaroth vs Chewie?

If you've read the books and not just seen the movies, you'll probably have thought in the past, "damn, wouldn't it be SO COOL if Glorfindel went along!".

Glorfindel is NOTHING compared to a Jedi Knight! They're all basically souped-up Glorfindels - remember Gandalf says "against both the seen and the unseen he has great power", that's Jedi Knights and Sith Lords all over. Darth Maul would waste the Witch King - c'mon, he got beaten by a girl and a hobbit!

The lightsaber thing is definitely unfair. Star Wars probably wouldn't be worth watching if it wasn't for the lightsabers.

Even Sauron is a wuss compared to Star Wars bad guys. He wants to control the world. The Empire would just blow it to smithereens like they did to Alderaan!
