Mission: Cracked-up Pipesmokers

Yeha. My friend thought of the name...I don't get it either. Oh no wait never mind! Hee hee. Anyways.

Have you ever said or done something LOTR that is only funny to you? For instance, the other day I was talking to my friend and I said "And when they were in Hollin, Sam was all 'I thought we were in Mordor already.'" This was after I had read that part in the Fellowship. I was laughing my head off and my friend was like "Wha...?" She says she loves LOTR, but she doesn't even know what Mordor is. She has no sense of humour. ESPECIALLY when it comes to hobbits!

I can't remember any but I'm sure I've done things like that. Oh, like the time I accidentally said that Jesus had his Fellowship instead of his disciples, I don't think anyone else knew why I was rolling on the floor laughing.

I have done this many times, and I'm sure a lot of other people have as well.

Me and my friends who don't really like Lotr were walking in a park. A crow flew over my head and I screamed "Ai! Crebain from Dunlend!" and dived into the nearest bush.
I was laughing so hard I was basically rolling around on the park grass (which is unwise because there's usually lots of glass around) while my friends were trying to figure out what's going on. To this day, they still have no idea...

Ha! I love doing that! Unfortuately my friends get the joke.

Morai 05-21-2003 04:32 PM

Almost everyday I joke to myself about hobbits being "druggies" (they do smoke "weed") I think I scare my family....

I went to a bluelight disco dance thing and I did a Frodo chicken dance. I also yelled out "Do tha wave for Boromir the disco king!" and "Git down for Boromir, y'all!"

I got a huge amount of blank and has-that-chick-been-smokin'-something stares, but hell it was worth it! LONG LIVE THE DISCO KING!

Morai 05-22-2003 04:40 PM

That reminds me of a couple of weeks ago. I was at a friends b-day party, and we got bored. So we leared "Frodo's chicken dance". Later, we we're outside, and we were shouting:
"DO THE HOBBIT!" Imeadiatly after we'd to Lij's famous dance move.

I have done some stuff like that but I cant remember it at all!

I do this so much. Mostly because I only have one friend who has read lotr all the way through. So if I say anything ME related I am either ignored or given a blank stares. For example I have "do the wave for borormir the disco king" in my aim profile, and I recieve multiple questions on it from the same friends over and over.

P.S. Nice to have you here at the downs polices. Just please dont arrest anyone .

GaladrieloftheOlden 05-23-2003 02:19 AM

Oh heehee, I was in class one time, and it had just ended, and I was really sleepy cause I had stayed up really late (as I am now...) and I dropped all my books and I sort of started falling after them and I went, all drowsy "Do the Wave for Boromir the Disco King!" I am more or less ignored anyhow, so I don't think anybody noticed...

Edit: And once I proclaimed to my walls: "I am Menelien, The Elvish Bostonian!" I believe they were amused

I accidentally said Elvish instead of Elvis today. I got some pretty weird looks.

Morai 05-23-2003 05:11 PM

Don't feel alone Everdawn, I know plenty of people that consider that "move" Frodo's chicken dance. Seriously, it looks like Frodo new that famous Chicky song:
"I don't wanna be a chicken,
I just wanna be a duck,
so I shake my butt...." (I know that's probably not the oringinal words, but that's the way it's sung by my "folk")

I tend to favour Elmo's version myself
