Strange hobbies the fellowship may have....
 

This board came to me as I'm sitting at home, off schoo, with a really bad cold, reading member profiles...soem have the strangest hobbies..like collecting stuffed frogs...so I was wondering, what stupid hobbies would the people of Middle Earth have?
Sauron: A passion for artwork?
Saruman: A secret Scrabble lover?

I'm sure you guys can think of far better ones...

Gandalf: Studying "magic" tricks?
Samwise: Collecting Frodo's toenail clippings (ew...)?
Elrond: Tap dancing? (Whoa, mental image...)

This sounds amusing; luckily it's not that difficult to come up with ideas for something like this. For example:

Gimli: Gardening. (Like you couldn't see that one.)

Legolas: Paintball.

Gollum: Writing epic and grammatically correct poetry.

The second I accessed this thread, a mental image came to mind . . .

The fellowship, tired from the days long journey on the Anduin, is grouped about the flickering campfire. Boromir sits opposite Frodo, glancing at him occasionally, and rubbing his hands together nervously. Frodo sits listlessy, staring into the fire, the Ring weighing heavily on his mind. Sam shakes his head, and continues fixing Mr. Frodo's special dinner. He glances over at Boromir, and notices him watching Mr. Frodo."I'm going to keep an eye on him, just in case." he thinks to himself. Pippin and Merry sit together, tyring to see who can drink the most beer without breathing. Aragorn keeps a watchful eye on the river, looking for a log with pale golden eyes. Legolas stands, gazing at the moon, and singing softly in Silvan. Gimli sits close to the light of the fire, his brow furled in concentration . . . "Knit one, pearl two, knit one pearl two . . ."

I think Legolas started him on it.

I love the idea of Celeborn writing novels in his spare time - because Galadriel won't let him do anything important, he writes trashy romantic fiction under a pen name.
