TECHNICAL PROBLEMS IN THE SHIRE
Was not able to post a New Topic in Mod Gorthad earlier (though is working at present?!) so I put this here:
_____________________________________________ 1.) Unable to add topic in Shire 09/22 1:09 am Pacific Time Content-type: text/html Software error: Undefined subroutine &main::ubb_mail called at /home2/barrowwight/cgi-bin/ubb_new_topic.cgi line 322. _____________________________________________ 09/22 1:09 am Pacific Time 2.) Only the white screen of death comes up when I click on ‘Shire’ to access the main menu for it _____________________________________________ 3.) 09/22 1:09 am – unable to access my PM’s Content-type: text/html Software error: /home2/barrowwight/cgi-bin/Members/pm_topics/J/00005778.cgi did not return a true value at /home2/barrowwight/www/ubb/Templates/public_my_profile.pl line 232. I can access both ModG and my PMs.
However, I too get the white screen of death when I try to enter the Shire from the main page or from Wander To. I can get into the new Green Dragon from the Last Post link, but cannot get anything else from the Shire once I am on that thread. Also, I get the white screen of death when I try to enter Books from Wander To. I can access Shire threads from the most recent posts in TAT. So, don't worry, the Shire is still "there". "here"? Monday September 22/03, 4:40 pm I will edit this post if I see any other problems. Bęthberry [ September 22, 2003: Message edited by: Bęthberry ] |

Sharku,
Thank you. I just did a test post in the Shire and it definitely works. I will unlock the threads now and test them. Thanks again. sharon |
Yesterday there was technical problems in other places too. I made a post in the Movies forum, in the topic of "How do *you* want it to end?". And instead of the post coming out as the paragraph or so that I had originally wrote, it came out as

I had a similar problem in the Green Dragon. It wouldn't let me edit my post, telling me that "Only administrators or moderators may perform this function." And it wasn't closed, which is the only time I've gotten that particular message when trying to edit my own posts. (Not because I was being bad, but because I didn't see that it was closed.)
