ok let me try...
who could have said

"Oh, what a nice sound is this to my ear. Your screams show
that you like the torment that u recieve in return for your foolish attempt to end my power! And after this little game you shall experience the greatest torment of all... to look into my eyes! HARHARHAR *cough cough*"

very easy one i think but i just tried to imitate the style... oh and dont think about the *cough cough* , thats just meant as a joke

Sounds like what Sauron might have said to Pippen when he had looked into the palantir of orthanc. Cough, cough, was the breeze from the west?

Maybe he said it to Beren, Felagund and companions when he imprisoned them in his dungeon - sometimes a wolf ate one of the companions (a game ), and they saw red glowing eyes.

Re: A new quote that wasnt

Just to clarify, the original idea of this game was to make quotes that might have happened 'off-camera', not quotes that might have happened in alternate versions of the story.

If anyone has a new one, start a new thread please. of course, we can still discuss this one here

I guess the situtation with Shelob is very similar, but as you know she was promised a very tasty present by Gollum. But it isn''t either Gollum or Shelob.

We have a WINNER! You just had to keep thinking down the line of dispicable man-eaters. Should I have said it was from the Hobbit? That would have been to easy.

I discounted Smaug because Bilbo and the Dwarves had to go deep down into Erebor to reach the chamber where he slept.

That“s true. But hey, he lay on a mountain of treasures, he could mean this
Anyway, it“s my turn to say the usual linesd of...
Who might have said, and to whom:

"No longer shall deception and lies keep me and my people away from what we deserve. I come to claim our right, whether thou want or not!"

From the Silmarillion, actually quite easy I suppose, although there certainly is at least one other answer which could fit as well...

Is it Feanor demanding the returning of Silmarills? To tell the truth I am not finished with the Silmarillion and I have no idea if that actually happens.

Re: A new quote that wasnt

I expected to hear this answer, it could be possible, but not exactly, Féanor did not go to the Valar to claim his rights, he was already there when the Silmarils were stolen.
If you have not finished reading the Silmarillion, you most likely are not yet at the part where my quote would really fit.

Oh, if you meant he said it to Morgoth, well, it“s still wrong.

Re: A new quote that wasnt

Nah, not really.
The Nauglamķr may belong to them (which it not really does), but they don“t _deserve_ it. They“d have said sth like "We come to claim what is ours".

Re: guess

Didn't Fili and Kili rush off in excitement to look for musical instruments and armour in Smaug's hoard (after he took off)? The dwarves in general looked for particular things that they remembered (or had always heard about) under the mountain. But, of course they never found the Arkenstone.

Possibly the approach to Moria: First the stair falls, where they belonged, then the lake, where it didn't, then, perhaps the holly (they'd have been looking for that too). No?
