quiz question
why does boromir join frodo on his journey?.
|
They were headed in the same general direction from Rivendell. Boromir was going to Minas Tirith and Frodo was going to decide his final destination when he got closer to Mordor.

an elf is the only one alive

Fool of a Took! It's a little trickier than that.

HINT: If someone else had asked this question, I should have been the one one to guess the answer.
|
damn it! I prefer "ridiculous young Took"...
well, there have been entries before which went something like Galadriel, Gimli, Glorfindel, Gandalf, and Shelob, and the odd one out was Shelob because it didn't begin with a G!!! there needs to be someone with intelligence in the party!....heh heh heh. |
Elves, the first thing invented? (Then blood )
|
Pippin -- I remember the "doesn't start with a G" question -- I was the Butt of that joke! I gave soMe high falutin' answer based on etymology or something and the person who asked it (can't remember who) said "NO SUCKER I WANTED THE OBVIOUS ANSWER !" In fact it may have been Beregond.
Beregond -- incorrect. Think about my hint above. It's a question that I should have know if soeone else had asked it. |
Something to do with Turin.
I'll say Elf because Turin used a sword, arrorws, had a helm and spilt blood in his life but he wasn't an Elf. Am I close? |
Right idea Dréw, but think of NAMES.
|
Turin never took himself or was called a name that involved the word arrow...???
Blodstained Elfman/Elffriend??? Blacksword ...??? Then there was something about "the land of the helm and the bow" - I dont know, but I think I'm close but incorrect. |
Correct, Telchar. Turin's asssumed names included Adanedhel (Elf Man), Mormegil (Black Sword), Gorthol (The Dread Helm) and Agarwaen (Blood Stained). But no "arrow" name.
You ask one. |
