Guess who?

I was a King of the Mark and a the fourth child of Aldor.
Who am I?

Thorongil 01-10-2004 04:22 PM

Thengel?

Thengal 01-10-2004 04:32 PM

Nope, earlier than him.

Elrond of Rivendell 01-10-2004 04:37 PM

The correct answer - I suppose - is Fréa, but I actually don't give this thread much of a chance, as there is a non-stagnant duplicate running.
Greetings,
EfR

Thengal 01-10-2004 04:43 PM

What is that suppose to mean?

Heni 01-10-2004 05:04 PM

Aldor got five sons... And Fréa is btw correct

Thengal 01-10-2004 05:13 PM

Frea is correct

Well ... in the Rules of the Quiz room, you can read that every quiz will only be represented ONCE in the Quiz room, therefore, as your thread is doing exactly the same thing as the non-stagnant and longer thread "Who am I?", yours will probably be closed by The Saucepan Man.
Anyway, I would also have liked to have some rules about your quiz: Am I going to ask a riddle about persons only, about the LotR exclusively, or simply about Tolkien's work? Also, in the topic of your thread you name it "Guess". There are of course a lot of threads where you can (and must) guess, but your question was not really a matter of guessing.
So I am not going to post a new question until we have at least clarified what your thread is about (rules!)
Greetings,
EfR

Elrond of Rivendell is correct that we try to avoid duplicate games here. However, the Who Am I? game is a riddle game. So, as long as this game sticks to straight non-riddle type clues, then it can continue.

Given that the title is "Guess who?", I suggest that each question gives one or two clues about an individual, named person or creature from any of Tolkien's Middle-earth works. The person who correctly identifies the individual or creature gets to ask the next question.

So, Elrond, please feel free to continue on that basis.

Well, thanks for the clarifications The Saucepan Man. I hope they will be fine with Thengal.
So here we go:
Guess who ...
was an Orc and "directed" the taking of two hobbits at Parth Galen.

Sorry, didn't realize it was an old thread. I'll have to check farther next time.

NightKnight 01-11-2004 04:07 AM

Ugluk?

Elrond of Rivendell 01-11-2004 04:25 AM

Correct NightKnight. Your turn.

NightKnight 01-12-2004 11:09 AM

Continuing with the orcs...
Who tried to escape Cirith Ungol just before Sam got there, but was shot down? (Any of them will do.)

Ooh, I seem to have forgotten this thread.
Well, let's see:

Guess who were the brothers of Haldir, the Elf that escorted the Fellowship through parts of Lothlorien.
