Who is referred to by the Elvish name of Elbereth, and what does Elbereth mean?

Elbereth is the same being as Varda.

From Encyclopedia of Arda

It means Star-lady in Sindarin

Elbereth means "Queen of the stars" because she created the stars,including the star of Elendil the elves most beloved star, [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

Wassn't she married to Gilthonel or am I mixing up names? They are both in the phraze Gilthonel a Elbereth right?
