Isildur - the name

Whilst translating a friends name into Quenyan, i noticed that according to this dictionary site: http://pw1.netcom.com/~heensle/lang/...a/engquen.html
Moon is translated to, rána or isil, was this the meaning behind Isildur's name? If so does this have any significance to his character?
I would be gald to hear your thoughts

Isildur means 'Servant/lover/friend of the Moon' I think, and The Lords of Andunië had a thing for naming their children with names like Valandil 'Servant/lover/friend of the Valar' and stuff like that. Minas Ithil, Isildur's city, also means 'Tower of the Moon' and the fief Isildur ruled from it was called Ithillien. The same applied for Anárion his brother except with Anor (sun).

it's true meaning is 'Devoted to the Moon'.

The Numenoreans and Dunedain had a penchant for putting Servant-something-or-other in their kids' names. Perhaps that's why the Kings rebelled. They got tired of being called "Servant-of-so-and-so."

Btw, do you guys know, how accurate that Quenya dictionary site (link above...) is? I mean there are lots of "Elvish" sites in the Net but most of them aren't that original Tolkien's Elvish.
For example in that site
" bird(small)/ince,filit[filici]"
instead of Ardalambion's "small bird= aiwë (plural aiwi)"

Gandalf said he was the wielder of the flame of Anor. Is Anor the same as Anar,
meaning that he used the flame of the sun?
