Elve's and food
 

If elves are inmortal, why do they eat? They don't need it right? So what's up with that?

They do need to eat. They are immortal, yes, but only in the meaning that they do not die of age. They would die if they didn´t eat, just like we do.
(Hm, don´t have much else to say, and that was a crappy explaination, but I hope it made some sense...)

Why not eat. Im sure thay did but if thay dident just eat for the pleasure of it. There was not really a reason from them to sing and dance but thay did. Thay did it cause thay liked to do it. I really think thay did need to eat just like the greek god's had to eat and drink ambrosia. Even if thay dident eat i bet thay could make some really good food and thay just liked the way it taste

Well, Maedhros was stuck on Thangorodrim for an undisclosed amount of time...maybe they don't need food....

Maybe they only get hungry when they are doing real active stuff (like going on adventures to save the world [img]smilies/tongue.gif[/img])but even if they are hungry they can't actually die since they are immortal.And the reason they have all these feasts and stuff is just because, as Tyler said, they like the taste off the food like dancing or singing.
