Rohan and Čos

Does Čo- mean anything special? Because soooo much stuff in TTT has that prefix.

Also, what precisely does -hrim mean? because in my silm. appendix it means "great number, host", therefore Galadhrim should mean "Host of Light" or words to that effect. But in FOTR it means tree people. wouldnt that be "Ornhrim"?

In Sindarin 'galadh' means tree, and that is why they are sometimes referred to as the Tree People, the Galadhrim.

Therefore, Hrim to me, would either mean people, or simply be a suitable ending to the word.

In Galadriels case, the 'Gal' means shine.
