Folco Boffin

Folco should have been in the story more. Does anyone else agree? It would have been cool if he had been in the Scouring of the Shire.

Goodness! I did not even remember Folco until I started reading FotR again!
Actually, it makes me wonder: why would Tolkien introduce a character and barely use him? It seems to me that he usually only created characters who do something useful. Indeed, I would like to have seen more of Folco.
