An introduction is in order

Hello fellow Downers.
I recently joined and wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. After reading a few other people making their introductions, I thought it would only be right if I did the same.
Of course you all know that I love LOTR, why else would I be here? I love the books and I love the movie (soon to be movies).
I live in one of the snowier states in the US. And it is cold right now.
I don't know what the age range is here, but I fall in the 23-28 age range (A lady never reveals her true age, so you can guess.) Though if you asked a stranger, they would tell you I look like I'm 15!
I am married, and would say that my husband, while I would like to lay claim to being an elf (though if you asked him I have none of the moving grace of one! I have a bad tendency to run into things and bruise myself often! LOL! Never claimed to be a ballerina), he would lay claim to be just a warrior man. But he doesn't love LOTR like I do.
If you'd like to know more about me, just ask!
And by all means, tell me about YOU!

Lucky you!! I loooove snow!!!

Well, let me welcome you to the coolest site in the world. I'm not going to say much of anything about myself, because I really don't have the time. It's finals week and I have ten million papers due and several tests to take. If you really want to know about me you can check out this thread that I posted on a while ago (you can find out about a lot of people on that thread) http://forum.barrowdowns.com/cgi-bin...&f=14&t=000645

I hope you enjoy your stay here!

Since you welcomed me, I'll have to welcome you back. I'm new too, but not new to LOTR - I first read the book many years ago, before it was even cool to like it, and have read it many times since that. I love to read, but do not limit myself to any genre, rather I like to read books that are well-written, and often stick to the classics. Although I also work full time and like to quilt and watch movies so my reading time is somewhat limited. I also tend to have wordy posts - sorry.

Welcome to the downs Airehiriel! And you too Ebony, although I think I already said that... Oh well. I know how you feel Airehiriel! I am from Canada (north of the US) and it is very cold here too. This morning it was -18 C, I'm not sure what that is in Farenhiet, sorry. For those of you with snow: just think of all of the people who don't get snow for christmas. For those without snow: At least your car runs and you don't have to shovel it off of your driveway for 6 mounths!

Well Arwen I am from Canada too, but obviously not the same area as you, as it is plus 9°C (48°F) here today. For anybody who cares, -18°C is -4°F. It sounds way colder in Celcius.

Yaa! Another Canadian! Lemi guesse, southern Ontario? It is always funny to watch american chanels in the summer, it is like 90 degrees and we are like what? that is almost the temperature of boiling water! Och! How do they live down there, then we relize it is in farenhiet...

Mae govannon to you both.

I am English and we have no snow, yet. We also have Celcius but usually get it translated into Farenheit for the old people as we only converted a few years ago.

Enjoy your time upon this site. I have to admit I now stray from the RPGs very rarely and recommend them to anyone. Perhaps I will come across you in Rohan or the Shire one day.
