'Olórin whom long ago
sent the Lords of the West
to guard the Lands of the East,
ever-wise of the Maiar
what drove you to leave
land which you loved?.

'Mithrandir, Mithrandir, O Pilgrim Grey
No more you will wander the world green
Your journey in darkness stopped
The bonds cut, the spirit broken
The Flame of Anor has left this World
Great light has gone out.'

it's darn sad

Manelwen 04-14-2002 07:06 PM

It's the lyrics for 'Lament of Gandalf' on the movie sound track right?

Tigerlily Gamgee 04-14-2002 08:15 PM

Yes, I believe they are the lyrics that were used for the Lament for Gandalf in the movie.

Vinyamarien 04-15-2002 06:12 AM

Exactly! I took the translation from the booklett.
