Where in Middle Earth do you belong?
 

If you could choose, what species living would you most like to be.

Being an elf would be cool, they are immortal and they are at one with nature.

It would be awesome to be a Mahir (is that the right word for the creatures around at the beginning that were lesser than the Ainur?) because they too are immortal, but are more powerful than elves for the most part.

My final decision is strange, though.
I would like to be a Hobbit. The Hobbits are simple folk and lead a simple life based on basically just enjoying their time on Arda. This laid back life in the beautiful Shire is, in my opinion, ideal.

I'd like to be Like Tom Bombadil Whatever race he was,he's not exactly proper human human..(The ring has no effect on him,and he's immortal you couid say),Being Bombadil wouid be cool riding Fatty Lumpkin and living with a Beutifull Elf Goldberry [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

I'd like to be a well traveled Hobbit lazydaying in the Shire. Perferably a taller one, who could sort of ride. Second choice would be a Rohirrim. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I would like to one of Sauron's Nazgul. I know they have tortured soulsa nad things, but just having that power on people would be awesome.... Plus you get to fly (TTT) and ride black horses and everything like that!

I'd have to agree with that, being a Nazgul would be pretty cool. Not that im evil or anything .... [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img]

Since when is Goldberry an elf?

As for this question, it has been asked many times before. I would choose the elf kind simply because of their love of music and lore. Actually, since I don't want immortality, maybe I'd go with human raised by elves or something.

I'd probably choose Noldorin Elf from the following of Fingolfin. I'd go with Turgon to Gondolin, receive somekind of cool unique sword and survive the Fall of Gondolin. I of course would have seen the Light of the Two Trees.

Or you could just run away just before the Orcs attack Gondolin.Or you could just kill Maeglin...Ahh sweet foresight.

If I were in Middle Earth, I think I'd be a Winged Fire Drake. I'm obsessed with Dragons and stuff like that! Sothat's probably what I'd be. I think I'd quite like being an Elf aswell though, they're immortal, and living in a place like Rivendell or Lothlorien would be really good fun!

If I were in Middle Earth, I'd be a Dragon, something like Smaug in the Hobbit was. But if that doesnt do, I'd be either a Ranger of a Roherrim.

I personally wouldn't mind being a Meara (a prince of horses) because I love horses too, but being one of the Dunedain would be really cool too! I would also love to be one fo the rohirrim. I really can't decide so I think I'll stick with Winged Fire Drake like I said before!

Andephelien, I agree with you (If I was Smaug though I'd try and avoid getting killed!)

Jurion-Yes, but Turgon just runs to his tower and dies anyway. Which House would you be a part of in Gondolin? I would have to be in Ecthelion's (House of the Fountain) or maybe Tuor's House. ( White wing.)

What a horrible characterization of Turgon! He doesn't hide. He stands at his tower. He realized his doom had caught up with him and he had failed Ulmo.

Without a doubt I would be Sauron himself! I love the evil guys! A great story is nothing without a villain, and that would be all for me! Being able to control orcs and goblins, controlling Saruman, creating all-powerful rings...who could say no to that??? [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img]

I would most definatly be a hobbit, because they live very peacful lives, and the shire is very, very beautiful.

elf definitly cuz they are way coool and graceful , and i could go on and on but will save some time and say they are just the best [img]smilies/tongue.gif[/img] . being a Valar or Maia wouldnt be that bad though and nethie would hobbits. but still elves rock so power to the the elves!!!. i would belong in mithlond rivendell lorien mirkwood valinor or tol laure(dont ask its a place or island i made up where i live muhahahaha [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img] )

I'd be a human. I think it fits me the best since that's what I am. I would like being a dwarf or a hobbit or many other races however they all have their disadvantages, some I couldn't live with. I might dwell somewhere up north, in a village or in Gondor. Maybe I'd be a ranger. And I would probably be friendly to many other races and learn from them.

I would too love to be a human, actually I would love to be Eowyn, that would be very cool [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] . I would also enjoy being an Elf, just because, I think they are cool. But being a human would be my first choice on the list.

I agree with Gorwingel. I'd love to be a human, preferrably in or around Gondor. I'd probably be a ranger if I could be or at least be trained with sword and shield.

Turgon made is own doom. It seems he cared more about the jewels then the people of Gondolin.

Then who is Goldberry? Or what is she? She's closest to being an elf, I think (river-doughter, fairy or something). She certainly isn't a ghost...

Goldberry, like Tom, is an enigma, though she may be a Maia of Ulmo.

but then theres the whole elf issue, seeing as though im one of those music, song, and nature people. but i do prefer swords to bows, so id probably have to go with human.

definitely an elf..but i really would love to live in fangorn forest, with the ents and the beautiful scenery and all.

i think I'd like to live most in the northern part of Eriador, for instance in the ancient kingdom of Arnor. there a big mix of people takes place.

Arnor makes your drool? I'm intrested as to why? Was it all those Numenorean men, who made the Rohhirim seem like boys?

Id want to live in Rivendell or Lothlorien, there is just somrthing about Elves, there beauty and love of nature...oh and the fact that they are immortal.

I've actually given a bit more thought to this question than I should have...and I have not yet come up with a completely stable answer. My gut tells me that in truth, I would be most happy as a hobbit. However, the lore and beauty of the Elves and Elven Craft holds too strong a power over me. I believe then, that if I were a hobbit I would tend towards the less-hobbity behaviour (and that's not just so I can claim likeness to Frodo.) As far as place goes, I believe hands down it would be Rivendell, perhaps the most beautiful place ever crafted by a human imagination.
